What is Microblading?
Microblading is procedure for creating a full, realistic looking brow. This innovative technique has become an increasingly popular method in permanent makeup (PMU). Microblading is considered a semi-permanent procedure, as the strokes are not implanted deeply into the skin. Optimal microblading results usually last around 12-18 months, before a retouch is required. During the appointment, a brow consultation is designated to the first hour of your procedure, the new brow shape is outlined and mapped out on to your face to best compliment your facial features. Colors, shape, thickness and style will all be determined at this time to ensure your satisfaction. Next, the outline of your brow is microbladed, and the area is numbed. The existing strokes are placed with the desired pigment choice, which is applied into the epidermis. The brow area is gradually made more dense giving the appearance of tiny hair strokes. Will My Eyebrows Look Natural?
Microblading results will look amazingly natural if done by a skilled artist. Sometimes it is just a matter of a few hair stokes in order to achieve the perfect looking brow. Often clients just need a few strokes to transform their entire face. Eyebrows are more important than you think! Have you ever seen a photo with the eyebrows removed from a person's face? Eyebrows truly do frame the face. We often see clients who have lost their brows to overtweezing due to the infamous 90's brow style, or some clients have fair blonde eyebrows, and are looking to achieve a more noticeable brow. The Process
Rebecca Ryan Studio has perfected the PMU healing process to leave you with beautiful brows through the duration of your healing phase. After you have received PMU, you will care for your brows every three hours while awake, for the next 10 days. You will be given an aftercare package that consists of two different kinds of wipes and a special barrier ointment to ensure that you will not excessively scab during your healing.
Though, don't worry, as it will only take a few minutes out of your day!
Some precautions after your PMU are not being able to get your brows wet, no perspiration on your brow area, no make-up on your brows, and avoiding the sun on your brows for 10 days. We recommend that you avoid taking a vacation right after your brows have been done. The healing aftercare is just as important as the PMU procedure and we highly recommend that you protect your investment by following your instructions carefully. Your brows may go through various changes throughout the month such as slight darkening, lightening or patchiness; it is completely NORMAL and to be expected as your skin heals. After the 1st session, you will proceed with a follow-up session. Follow-up sessions are typically 6-8 weeks after your initial session. Any pigment that was not retained, or anything that you would like tweaked or adjusted will be addressed during this session.

Powder Brow
There are a few different techniques for PMU, though you don't need to know which one you should choose prior to your appointment. With your artist, you will discuss which procedure is best for your skin type and life style, as well as which look is most desirable to you. Combo Brow

Nano Brows
Both microblading and nano brows give the brows a natural-looking enhancement by adding extra "hair" strokes. The difference lies in the method of applying those strokes. Nano brows are done with a tattoo machine, while microblading is a manual technique. While both microblading and nano brows results look very similar,
the choice between the two should be based on skin type, as nano brows are more suitable for oily skin than microblading.
